— Liz Coddington, former vice president of finance at Amazon Web Services, joined Peloton as chief financial officer.
Coddington worked at Amazon for more than six years. She was previously chief financial officer for Walmart.com and vice president of financial planning & analysis at Netflix.
Coddington is among a bevy of Amazon executives who have departed the Seattle tech giant in recent years.
Peloton’s stock soared to record highs in early 2021 but has tumbled to below its IPO price, trading Tuesday at less than $13/share. The New York-based fitness company hired a new CEO, Barry McCarthy, in February.
Amazon was reportedly looking to buy Peloton earlier this year.
Peloton purchased Precor, a Seattle-based commercial fitness equipment company, for $420 million in 2020.
Other personnel changes across` the Pacific Northwest tech industry:
- Ravs Kaur, former chief technology officer and co-founder at Seattle startup Uplevel, joined Microsoft as partner general manager within Azure Data in the intelligence platform team.
- Tammy Perkins, former chief people officer at PMI Worldwide, joined HAVI as chief people officer.
- Neely Mozaffarian, former vice president at the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, joined GentiBio as chief medical officer.
- Athira Pharma announced members of its Scientific Advisory Board: John Olichney, Anton Porsteinsson, Marwan Sabbagh, Lon Schneider, Pierre Tariot, and Paul Winner.
