Today the popular stablecoin issuer Tether announced that has launched tokens on the Polygon network.
Polygon (MATIC) is one of the most used layer-2 scaling solutions for the Ethereum network, allowing users to build and use dApps with lower fees and faster transactions.
Tether is the most used stablecoin, with a market capitalization of over 73 billion. Its daily trading volumes consistently exceed that of Bitcoin.
CTO of Tether, Paolo Ardoino, said that he was “excited to launch USD₮ on Polygon, offering its community access to the most liquid, stable, and trusted stablecoin in the digital token space”.
Polygon will be the eleventh network that Tether will run on. Its also available on Ethereum, Kusama, Solana, Algorand, EOS, Liquid Network, Omni, Tron, and Bitcoin Cash’s Standard Ledger Protocol.
